I am honored and enthusiastic to begin my first term as President of the Historic Preservation Alliance, joining a superb and expanded leadership team in the Board of Directors managing a full slate of programs and projects in the works for 2017.
Thanks to your support, and our robust network of partners and alliances, our organization remains firmly dedicated to providing leadership, education and advocacy to protect and preserve Colorado Springs’ heritage and revitalize our neighborhoods.
You will find our schedule of monthly member meeting presentations to be exciting and informative. Our summer tour line-up is fascinating and fun. We continue our hands on work with key partners to preserve the Harlan Wolfe Ranch and revive Tahama Springs in Monument Valley Park.
We believe there is something special for everyone in our quality presentations, projects and events. Since our founding in 1999, we have relied on your friendship and shared passion for heritage. We have many challenges ahead matched by abundant opportunities for your involvement.
As a special request, I am asking each of you to invite a new member to join the HPA. Our Board and committee leaders look forward to reaching out in welcome to new and renewing members.
I also invite you to contact me directly anytime with questions, concerns and great ideas about how together we can inspire broad public support to save the significant places of our past for the future.
