Endangered Places
Gardiner TB Hut

Cascade Ave .& Jackson Ave.
Circa: 1900s

The Gardiner TB Hut is presently located at Penrose Hospital, corner of Cascade and Jackson.

Gardiner TB huts once dominated the landscape at Nordrach Ranch Sanatorium and at Woodmen Sanatorium.

Sadly, very few remain today.

Fortunately the Penrose-St. Francis Foundation enabled the restoration and accurate furnishing of one of these iconic structures from our City’s history.
