Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (FAC)

FAC docent and HPA member Sue Neufeld has invited you to a historical presentation in the FAC Music Room. We will feature docents impersonating the three founding ladies (Elizabeth Sage Hare, Alice Bemis Taylor, and Julie Penrose) and architect John Gaw Meem, as they establish the need for and plan the building of the Fine Arts Center in the 1930’s. You will enjoy learning of the founders’ backgrounds and strengths, local history, and decisions on building details.

There will be a short follow-up presentation with more details about the history and architecture followed by a tour of the main floor of the historic section of the building.
