2019 FIELD TRIP: BOULDER’S HISTORIC PLACES
Saturday June 1, 2019!
Here we go again! Our annual field trip this year is to Boulder, Colorado!
Join us as we explore such architectural gems as the 1905 Hotel Boulderado with its 5-story cherry staircase, the Art Deco-style County Courthouse and Boulder Theatre.
We will stroll through the Colorado University campus with visits to Macky Auditorium and Old Main, Norlin Library, the Hellems Complex, the University Memorial Center and the Mary Rippon Theatre. We will visit Chautauqua National Historic Landmark, founded in 1898 as part of a nationwide “tents and cabins” campground movement. We’ll learn the amazing story and lunch in the great dining hall. Our group will also visit the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), an iconic structure designed by renowned architect I.M Pei.
