Cost: There will be a $10 fee to all attendees and an additional $10 for non-members. Cash or Check made out to the World Figure Skating Museum.
Water is allowed in the lobby only. No food or any drinks are allowed in the Museum.
1st Tour: Check in at 3:30– Check in tables will be in the lobby of the Museum.
Tour starts at 4:00 – The tour will last approximately 1 ½ hours.
2nd Tour: Check in at 5:30– Check in tables will be in the lobby of the Museum.
Tour starts at 6:00– The tour will last approximately 1 ½ hours.
Karen Cover is the Museum Archivist and will be our guide taking us through the World Figure Skating Museum & Hall of Fame which is the only international institution dedicated to reserving the sport’s history.
The tour will include seeing an unsurpassed collection of skating artifacts, Historic championship medals, Memorabilia from Sonja Henie, the most-decorated figure skater in history and cultural icon of her time, an extensive collection of skating artwork, notable costumes and a memorial to the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating team, which perished in a plane crash en route to the 1961 World Championships.
Address: 20 1st Street Colorado Springs. When going west on Lake Ave turn right at 2nd street and follow the signs to the Museum.
Parking: Parking is available in front and on the sides of the museum. The parking on the south side is by going down 1st street and you will see about 20 parking spaces next to the white building on your right. The parking in front has about 24 spaces. The parking on the north side is a little tricky. Go past the museum and go down to the stop sign and you will see Hazel st is a sharp left turn. As you go down Hazel you will see the White Museum. Pull into the parking lot on your left.
