At the same time Mr. Stratton purchased the City’s Trolley Line he decided to create place where the town’s folk could get away, relax and recreate. At the beginning of the 1900s he purchased the Dixon Park Place subdivision at the mouth of North Cheyenne Canon and there he built a park. Eric’s illustrated talk will show the features that were found in the park, describe some of the activities that took place there, explain why the park disappeared and point out the artifacts of the park that still exist.
Winter lectures will take place in the main Church building in the Fellowship Hall as opposed to thePeel House. Entry is on the East side of the building on the alley.
