Middle Shooks Run: Walking Tour of the North Junior High School and Its Immediate Neighborhood
Directions/ Parking: On-street parking is available on both sides of East Yampa between Corona Street and El Paso Street
This will be a walk through early city history as we venture around the neighborhood that predated the 1923 North Junior High School, one of three built with proceeds of a School District 11 bond issue. A variety of housing combined with a local market displays the history of an early residential suburb of Colorado Springs. The route will include several points of historical significance.
